Question: how should I approach building a relationship with New York
#17 Following moving to #62 - attention to detailTues February 2, 1999 - Update
When I first began working with New York it was clear it was going to be difficult. After almost four months of trying my estimation is that we've made some headway on the personal front and no headway at all on the issue of access and opportunity. The major breakthrough has come in two areas. The first was being able to teach the HC course. It's of no real value but it gives us an opportunity to become known and to get our faces in front of people. The second significance really lies with SC. Having someone in the New York office on a daily basis helps significantly.Feb 28, 2002
New York never actually amounted to a hill of beans it kept me occupied and focused on things without ever leading to anything useful or productiveThursday April 11.2002
Question: Outcome of co-authoring a book with Glen
#17 Following moving to #45 Assembling
Couple of things are striking me. One is that I don't really know Glen all that well and that seems to be part of what is positive in this reading. The fact that he might have divergent view points. It also might say that his choice of Wiley since they are unknown to me might be more in alignment with the fates than Jim would be.

Thursday September 19. 2002Question: outlook for full time employment at WM
#17 going to 31
This one never materialized. What's interesting over the years is that I periodically throw a resume their way and I never hear anything back. It's become something of a game.
