Top Line (announcement)
In the end, words are birds and experience the tree they roost in.  The power of inner truth is rooted in the tree. Birds come and go. (60 - limitation)

Fifth Line - Ruling Line (truth which links)
Great unity is possible when the force of a strong personality can radiate. Such a personality is able to guide through the power of suggestion. Prosperity itself resides in the heart of such a leader, and affects others through his or her very existence. If such a person is true at heart, coming into his circle of influence brings great good fortune.
g 29: A woman reading tea leaves
(41- Decrease - Dare to be your naked self)
47 4/28/98 Fourth Line (following a high ideal )
Sometimes to live consistent with your own inner truth is not easy. In order to do so, you must be able to work like the horse who plows straight ahead, bearing its burden resolutely, and refusing to glance sideways, even to its mate, while the workday is in progress. Avoid trendy fashions and cliques, dig down deeply, and your field will yield a bountiful harvest in the end. (10)
57 3/14/05 Third Line - (stabilizing emotions)
You depend upon your external relationships to dictate your mood or to gauge your confidence in yourself.  this can sometimes elevate you to the heights of joy or banish you to the depths of despair.  Possibly you enjoy such a range of emotions.(9)

Bottom line (preparation and intent)
Inner preparedness brings success. Personal stability of character, and a steadfast dedication to the truth underlying every situation, inevitably leads to good fortune. Relying on the perceptions of others, however, is not possible in this context; you must learn to stand on your own, to be inwardly self-reliant, to employ the power of inner truth for advancement.  (59)

Inner truth and sincerity are symbolized by the pig and fish. This leads to good fortune. It is advantageous to cross the great water. Crossing the great water could mean either a journey or beginning an enterprise of any kind. Righteous persistence brings its just reward.

Truth involves establishing an aware relationship between your inner core and the circumstances in your life. Centering in truth involves the ability to perceive a fundamental wisdom, reflected within yourself - and also in others.

Truth is transformed into power when you disperse all prejudice and make yourself receptive to the world as it really is. This power can be a remarkable force indeed - yet is rarer than generally imagined. It can be maintained only by cultivating a genuine openness to things as they are - a willingness to see, rather than merely look.

Whenever your inner life is clouded, your influence in the world is under a shadow. If you are fearful, you will be attacked; if you cloak genuine mysteries in dogma, opportunities for new insight will be lost. If you vacillate in upholding your principles, you will be tested. Yet, when you are firm and strong, the power of truth can break through even the most stubborn minds.

In any debate, the power to perceive the truth in the other side's argument is essential to achieving success. It is possible to influence even the most difficult people, or improve the most difficult circumstance, through the power of universal truth - for truth is something to which all things naturally respond. Get in touch with that part of yourself that is aware of this universal force of truth. Cultivate this inner resource, and you will become adept at using it to bind others to a common purpose.

Hexagram 61 (Inner Truth) shares the Crane and the Cock Crow. The Crane probably has the most trouble free existence of all our feathered folk. Here it appears calling in the shade to its young. That's it, just calling in the shade. The Cock Crow, on the other hand is trying to penetrate to heaven but his perseverance brings misfortune since he cannot really fly to heaven - he just 'Crows' about it. Additionally Fish are associated with Pigs and are considered the least intelligent of animals and therefore the most difficult to influence.

The upper trigram Sun (wind) represents things above, before and without. For you, these things are subtle, almost osmotic acceptance of events, and possible work or travel involving wood?

The upper nuclear trigram Ken (mountain) embodies the first of two conjoined forces, the first being stability, and resolve.

The lower nuclear trigram Chen (thunder) embodies the second of two conjoined forces, excitement and change.

The lower trigram Tui (lake) embodies things below, behind, and within, involving positive interactions with society, culture and commerce. However, you are warned to beware of excess which can lead to ruin.

Seems to me that this is saying no.  Ended up with the project being cancelled.

Question: What is the current situation with regard to my opportunities at PSI
61 Moving to 29 - Danger

For what ever reason I went through a time where I decided they weren't interested in me but that appears to be a false conclusion.   I've talked to everyone in the NE corridor there is to talk to and they're still interest in moving forward.  Obviously things can change in the blink of an eye maybe there are false negatives just like there are false positives.

I never commented that I did get the project and that it turned out to be one of the best projects I've ever done.

Question - Outcome of choosing to work on the S. book first

61 moving to 59 -Dispersion

Reading the changing line and then the hexagram leaves me believing that this might be a letters to my mother endeavor - I'll ask about the other books and see if anything seems more positive.

Update:  I believe that it answered the question more directly than I thought.  None of my ideas for a book have taken root.  Since 2003 all of my time has been spent writing articles

Question: Deciding against working with a the software package I've been working with

61 moving to 57 gentle penetration

I think its clear that I asked the wrong question.  The software isn't at fault.  In fact it's possible the software is fine.  I need to stay focused on what's really bothering me which is my relationship with my partner.

Changing Line three seems to have the strongest resonance with my current situation and it changes to 9 (limited influence).  The larger message might be found in lake going to wind.  (the entire bottom of the hexagram changes.

Question::
Odds of actually getting the book done if I work with AG

61 going to 42 increase line 2 changing

Confucius says about this line:

"The superior man abides in his room. If his words are well spoken, he meets with assent at a distance of more than a thousand miles. How much more then from near by! If the superior man abides in his room and his words are not well spoken, he meets with contradiction at a distance of more than a thousand miles. How much more then from near by! Words go forth from one's own person and exert their influence on men. Deeds are born close at hand and become visible far away. Words and deeds are the hinge and bow spring of the superior man. As hinge and bow spring move, they bring honor or disgrace. Through words and deeds the superior man moves heaven and earth. Must one not, then, be cautious?"

I'm in a little bit of shock here because it says the book would be well received.

61 going to 24

Question:: outlook for a job with CR.  Interesting call today.  I have a job interview with the hiring manager on Monday.

Hexagram 61 is where we find the law of attraction in the sense that like attracts like. Here is the hexagram that shows that what we find in the outside world is a reflection of that which is within us. The law of equal vibrations. this hexagram also  encourages trust in the universe even when there seems no particular reason to do so "

capturing truth

1. preparation, to trust things to be going well
2. trusting connection
3. depending on a mate who one trusts
4. being joined in trust

Negative
Distrust
empty words

'"HUAN : scatter clouds or crowds; break up obstacles; dispel illusions, fears and suspicions; clear up misunderstandings; dissolve, evaporate, disintegrate, fade, vanish; fog lifting or clearing away

The reference in this hexagram to crossing the river reminds me of the six of swords.

Changing to 24 return

Return to one's true nature is blessed because it rejoins us to the creatures with whom we share our planet, as well as to ourselves. Return is accomplished not through accumulation but through a process of separating ourselves from what is false, artificial, or projected onto our original self: this return-through-separation is the process of "going out and coming back in again" described in the text. In terms of interpersonal issues, this process focuses on the separation from a false sense of self, commonly found in the societal images of pride.
