Finding Your  Tree

Your offering Tree in this world

For most of us our journey tree isn't growing in the backyard.  This means you'll need to pick a tree that can serve as a tree under which to place offerings after you've done a working in the other world.  Your best choice is a tree on your own property.  Failing that, a tree in the park nearest  your house or office (or both) ensures that you'll stay in touch with the power of nature.  One of the reasons we stress working with trees so much in Draiochtgé is that your average "air head" is quite happy indoors.  We need a push to get us outside into the physical world.

Your offering tree can be changed as often as is necessary.  I have used a Japanese maple in California, a  red oak when I lived on the east coast, and a fir tree set deep in my backyard now.

You may set your offerings directly on the ground, on a large stone or on a split log altar in front of the tree.
