September 4th
- - rather lengthy unofficial board meeting. Didn't get headed down to
meet family until much later than we expected.
September 5th
- Sight
seeing - took two different tram rides. Glad heights don't bother
me
September 6th
- Visiting the old homestead to the south -- then over the mountains to check out
New Mexico.
September 7th
Had
a meeting with a client. Think it went reasonably well but it will be a
long sales process.
Long flight home made longer by the fact that the baggage got hung up for
almost a half an hour. Did get some nice treatment from the stewardess
in recognition of the fact that TWI is Gold.
September 8
- Rescued
one freshly groomed puppy from the kennel
September 11
Decided
to reorganize my books and my office.
Took the dog in and got the run around from the Vet. She sent us home
with tranquilizers so they could examine his muzzle and see what the problem
was.
September 12
Turned out it was a tick. He's costing us more in Vet bills than any of
our other pets. Oh well we love him.
September 13th
Got an email about a possible job was very excited because it seemed exactly
the right kind of work. Followed up on it immediately and have my
fingers crossed.
September 14
Got an email back that they want a sample of my writing. Spent the whole
morning putting together a nice little package to send out.
Rain
September 15
Did a phone interview. Oh my God what a disaster. He'd already
decided I was some idiot and a waste of his time before he even phoned.
I am so depressed. I'm not used to being treated like that. Of
course the circumstances are such that I shouldn't be surprised. This is
a company that has some real personality problems. The silliest thing is
that I never even really found out what the job was -- oh well.
It's
been living up to its reputation here in the PNW for rain, rain and more rain.
September 16
Complete
meltdown. It don't know if it's the gray skies, the drizzle or just my
frustration at nothing going right but I didn't even bother to get dressed.
I also haven't been getting more than 4 hours of sleep a night so I know
that's making me close to crazy.

day with a wonderful birthday dinner with friends at one of our favorite
restaurants

spent the day getting ready for our trip to New England. Problem isn't
clothes it's all the computer stuff we haul from place to place

the puppy into the kennel. He really didn't want to stay.
