April 11- May 9

Week of April 10

(11th) flew to NV to start work with a client.  I had done an i-ching reading last week that said it was going to be a difficult beginning.  Looks like that referred to the WIM and I getting our act together.

(12-13) Worked with the client. things seem to be going reasonably well.

(14) Flew back to California to meet with another client to get some prep work done in advance of another meeting.

(15th) Flew home, picked up puppy and then did absolutely nothing.

April 16th

Had a dream about being back in college.  Rather strange dream because an old lover had returned and we were getting reconnected.  My husband was there as well but he was pursuing his own interests.  A some point in the dream the wife of my former lover joins us and she and I decide to go tour the campus.  In the dream she is excited and exuberant about starting all over and sees a world of possibilities open to her.  I'm enjoying the time I'm spending with her and finding her enthusiasm catching.

Read over the journal entry last year and it looks like I actually do spend a rather large amount of time with publication deadlines over my head.  Also I find it interesting that I'm back talking about co-authoring the same book I mentioned in my entry for 2002.  AG and I are scheduled to talk about it on Weds.

yesterday, I got comments back on the long piece I wrote  and it will probably take most of the weekend to get it into shape and it has to go in Monday. This is a new editor and it will take us a while to work out our relationship.  She has tried to change terms that are ones used in the industry and I'm not sure how well she really understands our business.  PK would probably have been even more ruthless in her comments but at least I could rest assured that her comments were on point.

April 17

(17th) Spent the day nose down doing rewrites.  Some much for thinking this is done.

(20th) Spent the day putting a course proposal together for a client.  This actually was a lot more work than it seemed.  This is another example of something I've said I had for years and never developed.  As of this moment I still haven't developed it but I'm a lot closer than I have been.

(21st) Reviewed the final galley for typos and changes and sent it off at 9:30pm.  Now it's finally done.

Traditional 7th wedding anniversary presents have a theme of Copper and Wool
The flowers associated with the 7th anniversary are Jack-in-the-pulpit.  We bought our copper fireplace as our present to ourselves

"This is a good day for thinking about your plans for the future and deciding whether they're still on track. Are things going well, or do you need to rethink some of your ideas? A few tweaks now will save you lots of time and effort further down the line, especially if the alternative is to continue with a scheme that's already looking iffy and which might easily end up going nowhere."

The New Moon will bring a new influence to bear around the home. This will reflect in romantic concerns for some, while others will be on the improvement path. You will be left uncertain as to what to do next, especially regarding important decisions around work or health. Expect some delay or revision of your plans.

From there, it's a winding path through the mid month as tensions with both Chiron the wounded healer and mystic Neptune in your first house are activated by the dance of the planets. Clear action and discernment will be necessary to say the right things and make the right choices. Loved ones may be difficult or need attention. Watch for little accidents with domestic safety.

Look after yourself because you don't have as much energy as usual. If you are feeling rather dispirited or even despondent due to problematic planetary influences, you won't feel very bouncy. Take things gently and avoid anyone who's too aggressive or demanding for your current mood. Beneficial colors are ultramarine and mango.

Ended up with an impromptu party.  Thank heavens we had just gone to the grocery story so we had some food in the house

We watched Chronicles of Riddick.  I'm not at all sure why the movie got panned -- much to my complete surprise it was a very decent grade B film.
