Not really anything here except some notes of astrological things that caught my eye. Bottom line is I'm feeling very insecure with the situation at work and it's got me somewhat immobilized. Additionally MC's father passed away and a friend found out his wife has cancer (they just had a new baby six months ago). Generally not a happy time
October 15 The Ninth House: Generic Meaning: The House of Philosophy . It describes religion, travel and foreign countries, in-laws, higher education, publishing, import/export and ethics.
In the Chinese calendar, this is the 9th day of the 9th lunar month, and therefore the “Double Ninth,” the Festival honoring the God of Nine Emperors--that is, a composite deity embodying the best qualities of nine wise and pious emperors. The Chinese consider this one of the year’s most auspicious days, especially for health and prosperity.

When others require that you do something in particular, you often rebel. You'd prefer to do things your own way. Today, however, you may not have a choice. Sure, you can get yourself totally frustrated by fighting against your obligations, but it will be easier to just do what you must and then be free to later do what you wish.

Through communication and dialogue, we gain a better understanding of our role in the world and how we can positively impact our community. It is to spend time with our friends and loved ones, to honor and be thankful for the relationships we have and to acknowledge that these are the cornerstones of a good, healthy life.

Today people will be inclined towards needing to be entertained and to get their mind on enjoying life. .When the Moon is waning in Leo it urges us to take special care of ourselves as well as the children in our life. Projects of interest are sometimes considered 'children' as well. If there is a hobby of special interest to you, take the time to brighten and enliven this work which represents your own talent and self reflection. The Moon simply calls for more playfulness! Throughout the working (or playing) day jokes will fly, toys of special interest will be admired and moods will reflect childlike frolic and revel. If you're serious about not being distracted by such playfulness perhaps a quiet workspace is the key. If you must work with others allow the frivolity to flow, the work will get done but the child in everyone has to play now and then. This is that time on the emotional plane.
October 25 Throughout Jupiter's travels through Scorpio (today through Nov 06), we can expect our psychological dynamics and complexes to show themselves in glaring boldness, inviting us to dive in. Those of us on the path to self-discovery are likely to reap grander understandings, particularly as we unveil our darkest shadow-selves in intense relationship with others. As long as we bear shame over some part of our being, we surrender our own power to this shameful secret self. It holds us hostage, eats away at our self-esteem, and leads us to overcompensate by damaging (or damaged) relationship behavior.
Now is the ideal time to purge our demons, confess our sins (if we believe in such things!), own our willing participation, stop the blame game, and release those nasty burdens. Benevolent King Jupiter will bless those who volunteer to don our scarlet letters in full view (then burn them in a cathartic release and stop feeling sorry for ourselves!) by making it a bit easier than it usually would be… and by revealing the good fortune that comes to everyone brave enough to cope with his or her crap. The resulting increases in emotional strength, intimacy and fearlessness will indeed be palpable.
While Jupiter is often considered 'good luck' (because his influence tends to things easier), he never forces anyone to collect, so don't expect the doorbell to ring and a stranger to hand you a fat check and a certificate granting you immediate relief from the weight of your issues. You must do something to get (and keep) the ball rolling—Jupiter just helps it along.
And Jupiter also has a negative side, in that his easy ways often lead to laziness and self-indulgence for those who favor the passive approach. Jupiter in Scorpio will highlight instances of folks lording power over other folks through exaggerating their motivations, perhaps habitual entitlement ('I've always had more than you… why should I stop now?) or the looming threat of 'being found out' ('If only they knew what I'm hiding, I'd be ruined! That's why I must destroy them first!'). The ugliness will be harder to contain, and the subsequent power struggles and conflicts will get bigger and nastier.
Whenever Jupiter in Scorpio exacerbates interpersonal differences, injecting blatant intensity and gnarliness where they previously lingered below your awareness… pause and go deeper. It's not just a passing dispute—it's also a lesson about what drives you. Ask why it bothers you so much. Ask what you're afraid of losing. Ask why you care.

The Sun illuminates the house - therefore, the area in life - wherein latent needs and talents lurk. Often these dormant traits lie in the spheres of self-expression, such as: willful direction; ambition; drive; healthy rage; energy; primal instincts - passion, desire, lust; physical expression, whether that be sports, dance, activities that enliven our bodies defenses. The Sun illuminates the manner in which we have been undermining ourselves relative to the house from which it makes that opposition.
Occasionally, the Sun-Mars opposition will coincide with an explosive situation in the collective, we become very aware of those who are being oppressed, invaded, killed, politically suppressed, maltreated, isolated, hurt, and so on. Hence, the global and domestic political unrest will be uppermost in the media around this week.
The natal house in which Mars has been retrogressing is the house in which the conscious, external work is being done. There is a tendency to focus on the retrograde planet alone, thinking that it is the one doing all the work, but in this way we see that it is a dance, a collusion between the two fiery planets, both of which are fundamental in the development of an healthy ego.
The ego is essential to carry out the soul and our deeper Self’s intent, and we need strong, healthy and large egos to further our destiny. Ideally the ego should be as big as the Self, as big as the universe, so it isn’t undermining our desires and inhibiting our productivity and creativity in the world around us.
The Sun-Mars opposition is a time of enlightenment, of illumination- a time period when we connect with inner levels of energy that want “out”. The solar light is illuminating the brilliance of the red planet at its highest frequency. The energy that emerges is often raw, undeveloped and primal, thus may expose parts of our psyche that are more uncivilized than we care to acknowledge. Our life-force needs this periodic expulsion of repressed energy, and thus our more instinctual nature relishes such richness of expression, but remember, civilization of the unconscious requires effort and conscious awareness.
About a week or so after the opposition, there is a sensation of relief, a new way of functioning and problem solving has developed. This is a very productive time, when the ‘things’ that withdrew at the station, can be seen in the clarity of full knowledge. The secret maturation that occurs during retrograde will begin to become apparent, and a new form of energy source will find its way into your system. Should there have been no overt directional changes in the first half of the retrograde cycle, then the opposition is an explosion, and the release, with a radical change marked at this point.3rd to the 9th
The opposition occurring in this axis will demolish any trite assumptions and superficial ‘Band Aids’ you have applied to mask deeper issues attached to values, beliefs, moral codes, ethical matters and your relationship with the divine - with God. Any disparity between what is spiritually correct, and socially acceptable, becomes a strong issue for you. A war between your shallow side and your higher mind ensues, so you might dialogue with yourself about what you truly hold fast and valuable philosophically - and be encouraged to live those beliefs to the letter! Any feelings of inadequacy about education or true knowledge can come to a head, resulting in plans for study and intellectual/spiritual enrichment. Mundanely, it is not a great time for long travel excursions in the next few weeks.

Aquarius calls for the need to break through outmoded methods of achieving progress and sets the precedents of what we accept as fixed scientific knowledge
Radicalizing traditionally entrenched systems by embracing openness to innovative views is a very Aquarian act. Think about how you can become a force for change at your workplace, in your neighborhood, and at home. Change is good!

November 10 - Old November Eve Old November Eve was celebrated on this date in olden times throughout the Scottish countryside. The Goddess Nicnevin as an aspect of Diana was honored with prayers and feasts, and it was believed she rode through the air with her entourage between the night hours of 9 and 10, and made herself visible to mortals on this night.
