June 5
Took the afternoon off to try and get caught up on some organizational stuff for one of the organizations I belong to . Finished up a care-package for MK and barely made it to the post office in time to send it out.

Also caught up on email and sent IL a copy of my ten tips for Project Managers --

June 7-9

Sick with a really nasty upper respiratory bug. Decided to call in quits around lunch and go home for the rest of the afternoon. Read for about 30 minutes and then was out cold for a couple of hours.

Decided to stay home and try and recuperate -- this is a really nasty bug. Checked email and still tried to keep on top of things at work but for once I didn't get out of bed.

Doing better but still sick. Had to run into the office to make sure the right people got on plains and none of the projects turned turtle but it was only for an hour.

June 10th

Watched pride and prejudice -- it was a great movie.

June 11

We went into Seattle to attend the Double-Take art show at the EMP We both thought it was wonderful. John kept commenting how much better it was than the Monet exhibit in Boston we'd seen several years ago. I was just happy that I finally felt well enough to be out of bed for a few hours.

June 12

Started another project at work today. As usual it is more involved and more time consuming that it should be. Hope this isn't the thing that tips me over the edge.

The rain came down in buckets around noon today. I had just grabbed something for lunch and was safely back in the office before the deluge started. It also rained much more lightly on the way home from the office. When I checked to see how much rain we'd gotten that day I found out that it only rained in the evening at home and it only deluged at work in the afternoon.

June 14

- We had an all day off-site to discuss changes to the company. There were some good discussions and some frustrating events that left me ready to call it quits. Promises made a couple of months ago about getting promoted were simply tossed aside as no long practical and no one bothered to let me know what was coming down in advance. I'm a big girl and can deal with political realities but I am then free to make my own future.

Spent the day nose-down reworking the NPM web site. I spent the the morning looking at templates and then decided to heck with it I'd just bludgeon something together by hand.

Went to see the final X-men movie. It had gotten great reviews by people I normally respect but what a let down. I felt it was completely lacking a plot and walked out feeling very dissatisfied.

Uranus goes retrograde in your second house; you may now feel the urge to follow radical new ideas regarding how you deal with matters of this house, finding ways to implement those changes by going within. Are there things regarding these issues that you need to break free from?

When Uranus transits the second house, those that feel encumbered by material possessions and responsibilities may choose to free themselves by letting go of them; you can also expect your values to change now, where freedom may be more important than "security". Those on the other side who are bound by their lack of resources may choose to do something radically different, since a change in financial status may bring a different type of freedom. Wherever you stand, the station retrograde period may bring these issues to the forefront, where you cannot take it any longer. Use the time to look within, and be flexible; personal evolution is the focus now, and your values may be very different now... go with it, and be true to yourself.
