Journal
January 15-21
Another 60 hour week. I can barely keep up -- emotional rollercoaster and too much stress. Didn't even have a moment to acknowledge the beginning of the year.
From the 15th to the 18th things will be tense. A Full Moon in moody Cancer on the 14th reshuffles the emotional deck. And trigger-happy Mars touches happy-go-lucky Jupiter and clueless Neptune. Impulsive decisions could cost you.
January 15th - spent the day working on a project for cutter -- lots of hours and didn't get anywhere. Have to learn to say no.
January 16th - off to California to meet with a client. Decent flight, nice dinner and early enough to bed. Of course the demo isn't ready for tomorrow and the developer is out sick.
January 17th
- Fairly decent meeting with the client -- right up until the last hour. Got to witness a political incident that tops almost any I've ever seen -- will fill in the details when I get a chance but suffice it to say the woman we were working with stormed out of the room and resigned the next day because of the way her manager was treating her
Decent flight home -- actually got on an earlier flight and still got an aisle seat
January 18th -- tried to get work done at home --- ended up interviewing a recruiter -- got caught in my own political incident. Ended up with nothing to show for the day and feeling very frustrated.
January 19th -- Had a difficult day with another client -- trying to do mission impossible and keep everyone happy -- It's not possible to do. Last one to leave this evening
from the 19-28 caution lights will still be flashing as the Jupiter Neptune square becomes exact, and the Sun and Mercury oppose serious Saturn, highlighting the necessity of practical thinking and responsible attitudes. Ah, but some of us are still in never-never land, or dealing with nasty colds and flus that always seem to come around when Neptune acts up. Avoid the temptations of retail therapy. This is serious “buyer’s remorse” time. If you do go hog wild, save the receipts. No tattoos!!
January 20th First one in this morning and all I did was juggle started working on a small portfolio/resource management project. It's good to keep my fingers in the pie.
January 22nd
- .Worked a ritual this morning. Took the 10s and burned the ten of wand and the 10 of swords - affirming that those energies have left my life. Took the 10 of Cups and the Ten of Pentacles and placed them under the offering dish and affirmed that the energy I wanted in my life in 2006 was the energy of those cards. We lit the fire in the firepit and timed it just prior to dawn. By the time I got my act together it was after the start of the last quarter moon but I think that's ok since what we both really wanted was to move the old energy out of our lives.
The solar question of the day is "what do you need to learn to be more confident" Given the problem with the project I've been working on this question seems particularly apropos. I don't trust myself enough so I can't finish it. I should be working on it now instead of catching up on this journal but
Bo Donn -- The Brown Cow -- The Third Quarter Moon occurs January 22nd at 7:15sm PST in Scorpio and brings the possibility of a sudden and intense release of emotions that have been bottled up. Emotions that have been building up or concentrating may erupt upsetting people and leaving a residue or lingering memory. And, there may be little we can do about the initial outburst; however, we must be careful of what we say and do to sort things out. We can gain understanding that sometimes things need to be 'broken' to release the contents and fully appreciated or revealed.
The Scorpio Moon's affirmation is, 'By looking inwards, I can discover the true richness of my talents and abilities.'
January 29
A New Moon in Aquarius on the 29th clears the emotional decks and starts a brand new cycle. The last two days of January are still pretty foggy as Mercury closes in on Jupiter and Neptune, bringing an echo of last week’s energetic mudslide.
New Moon Visualizations:
I want to make more time to enjoy a full and varied social life.
I want to meet a group of people who share my interests.
I want a job where my inventiveness can be put to good use.
I want to embrace the unexpected with gladness in my heart.
"During the last New Moon, we began another extended encounter of Saturn's opposition to Chiron. Over the past few years, we have had a series of these oppositions dating back to August 2003. While most have lasted for about three to four months, this current one will last almost twice as long (six months, ending in July 2006) due to the dance of the Retrograde Motions between the two bodies. There will be one more opposition between Chiron and Saturn in 2007 starting in March for approximately three months. Then we won't see it again for a really long time. If you have a long memory or keep a journal of events, you can check back to see what you experienced during the prior Saturn to Chiron oppositions:
- August 2003 - December 2003;
- July 2004 - September 2004;
- November 2004 - January 2005; and
- June 2005 - August 2005.
The ongoing themes are structuring/restructuring and wounding/rewounding."

January 31
We had 13.5 inches of rain for the month of January. It rained continuously for the last 13 days in December, for 23 days in January; it stopped a day and then started raining again for another 11 days. I should say this is for our little neck of the woods -- Washington has microclimates and our little hill must have a cosmic water spell on it. I get my numbers from my own rain gage and from the little bear observatory and I know we get more than anyone else.
Feb 11
"We continue to learn why Saturn-influenced tasks are so important in our lives. Our leadership abilities are being tested, our creativity feels mediocre and that spotlight shining on our faults is starting to really test our sense of adventure."
Feb 21
First dream I've had in a long time. M.A and I are working on some project and we end up finding some bulbs we'd thrown aside have sprouted and are more than ready to be planted. I reach into a closet and tear away the brown paper sack I have covering one bulb and it's covered with mold BUT it's grown and has buds and if I just get it into the ground now it will be lovely. MA walks into the room behind me carrying his own plant and we talk for a moment about where we should plant them.
Morning Prayer work
What is stirring in me as I pray?
Am I consoled, troubled, left cold?
I call upon Brigit to stand by my side,
so that I might discuss my feelings with her.The thoughts that came to me where that
February 28th
We only had 4.7 inches of rain for the month of February. After the 40 days and 40 nights of Dec and Jan - that is wet.
