This was a time of knowing that things would be ending soon and that the next thing had to be out there somewhere.
November 7
Got a call from an executive search firm yesterday and it struck me as a "sign". The I-ching came back with #5 Waiting with no changing lines. Something is in the works but its not clear what yet. Of course I’ve been wrong about everything else so maybe nothing is happening after all.
Still in California two weeks out of every month though the contract will be ending right after the conference. The work we've been doing recently is very interesting -- of course it has nothing to do with anything we should be doing. Just a classic example of a project that somebody wanted to start for their own ego reasons.
Hexagram 4 moving to 7
I spent a weekend developing a proposal and they never even had the courtesy to call me to say thanks. We chatted after I tracked my contact down but nothing ever came of it. Of course there was no way I could have passed on developing the proposal and no way I could have spent less effort, since ultimately we're judged by the quality of our work when we don't think anyone is looking so possibly it was very, very silly of me to have asked the question at this point.

From 48 to 54, you will be in the Ninth House. This is a time to perhaps learn new skills, return to study or maybe teach, and also family life may now give you the opportunity to travel overseas and not just build sandcastles on the beach. (Not that there is anything wrong with building sandcastles!!) You begin to formulate your own spiritual values.
2002
This year I've chosen to concentrate on getting my book written and published. I have recently been getting paid to write a bi-weekly column and at this moment I have 17 articles published. The key thing I need to work on now is to work out a plan that organizes these columns into a book (I'm talking about what I do for my day job here - trust me its nothing anyone else would want to read) . One factor I'm hoping to combine is the current Saturn transit of my 5th house which when combined with the natal Saturn in the ninth just might give me the push I need.
